Emotions Vs knowledge

Most of the times emotions take our the knowledge. Why can't we control emotions ? Isn't the mind origin for both emotions and knowledge..

Canon Camera CCD problem

My photoblog tells that i like my camera a lot... I haven't used my camera for a while and few weeks back i took out to give it to my sis.. When i tried to take a photo, the LCD shows all black & white instead of a picture. OMG. I searched in Google about Camera Canon problems and i found lots of them which is almost similar to mine. I tried to find a Canon service centre near by in chennai and i got the anna salai camera service centre phone no. I called them and they told there is canon authorized service centre in Mylapore and the contact number of it. It is near by to my place and i thot i shall have to go soon and get my camera serviced.. As always being lazy, i didn't go and after all my sis push, i went there. They told it has got CCD problem. They said it cost 4000 & above. What ??? But they said Canon is servicing it free as it is happening because of weather and some other reasons... I just got a relief.. So i will be getting my camera in another 15 days.. Hope i get it as my original !!

Hope i will take some goody goody photos and paste it here...

Who says Elephants Can't Dance ?

Its not my question, Its the title of the book by Louis V Gerstner. He was CEO of IBM for nine years and he joined IBM during its crisis time. The book is about " How he turned around IBM "

I am not the one who reads such a serious business kinda books.. But somehow picked it up from Library and started reading it.. It was nice to read for the first few Parts of the book ie how he joined IBM, the strategies he followed to make IBM to turn around..

But i couldn't read it further.. as it is like too much of business strategies as like a text book.

Good to know about IBM that too mainly mainframes :)

Just thought of blogging again...

Its long time since i have written a blog.. i just thought of blogging again.

Every month there used to be some training programmes conducted in our concern. I used to see the training calendar but never took a step forward to attend them. Reasons are like if i take those days off from work, the normal work will get affected and get piled up , have to commute on my own to the training place etc. But somehow last month as my manager asked me to attend the training, i also agreed and nominated for it.

It was a two days programme about management skills ( 9.30 am to 5 pm) and was conducted in a hotel. The faculty was from an independent training firm. I thought its going to be again a boring session and i can atleast take rest by sleeping for two days. But as time goes, it turned to be a good one. The content of the session was good. And moreover the colleagues who came to attend the training along with me made it more alive. We were some 9 people and almost all of them are some 3 to 5 years more experienced than me.I could gather more information from them like how is the other part of my concern going on, thier experiences ( one guy worked for some 8 yrs in FMCG and became a SAP consultant ) , thier views etc etc. Actually on the end of second day, we were like OK hi bye friends.

Another important thing in the training is Lunch provided. We had food on the second day in the restaurant attached to the hotel which is 101% vegeterian it seems. There were more than 12 salads provided and variety in dishes were more and all dishes, desserts, everything was tried out in different vegetables and fruits. I liked it the way they promote vegeterianism.. There were slogans, myths in the dining mats.

so the two days turned out to be a good experience in all ways...and relaxation from my normal routine. I have planned to attend these kind of trainings alteast once in 3/4 months ! Lets see
